Gladys June Milliron, 86, of Galion, died Friday, Apr. 20, 2012 at Galion Pointe Nursing Center in Galion.

Born June 12, 1925 in Morgantown, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Milton and Alice Stump Thorn. She was preceded in death on Oct. 9, 1978 by her former husband, Clarence A. Milliron whom she married on Dec. 8, 1948.

She was a graduate of Morgantown West Virginia High School and previously attended Community Christian Church of Galion. She was a former member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge 303, VFW Post 4329 and the Amvets Post 1979, all of Galion and worked at the former Cozy Inn as a bartender for many years.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bonnie B. and Jim Hughes of Omar, W.Va.,
Alice Christine “Tina” Milliron of Ft. Collins, Colo.; Lee S. and Robert DeMattia of Roanoke, Va.;
one daughter-in-law, Barbara Milliron of Findlay; four grandchildren, Nick, Kelli, Olivia and Robert and
one sister-in-law, Twyla Thorn of Galion.

She was preceded in death by one son, C.A. Milliron, one sister, Edith Snowden and one brother, Stanley Eugene Thorn.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 22, 2012 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Apr. 23, with Dr. Daniel A. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
