Gerald Anderson went to be with the Lord Wednesday evening, March 16, 2016 in Kindred Hospital Central Ohio surrounded by his family. He was 69.
He was born January 15, 1947 in Sandusky to parents Arthur and Annabel (Brady) Anderson. After he graduated from Perkins High School with the class of 1965, he went on to graduate in 1969 from Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music, and during which time he was a part of Ohio State Marching Band.
Gerald immediately took his music degree and put it use by teaching music for high school and junior high. He taught in Van Wert, Toledo, and lastly in Bucyrus for 10 years. He then decided to start his own business, Crestline Mobile Home Supply, which he has worked so diligently at for over 20 years.
In spare time, Gerald enjoyed fishing and keeping up his yard. He also volunteered at the Renaissance Theater and took great pleasure in being active at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Gerald was involved in the choir, bell choir, and the praise group. He was a true man of his faith and loved the Lord his savior with all his heart.
He is survived by his loving mother Annabel Anderson; aunt Kathryn Ramlow, and several cousin.
Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Arthur W. Anderson on March 3, 2014.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 525 W Cook Rd, Mansfield, Ohio with an hour prior of calling. The Rev Dr. Pentti Maki will officiate with burial taking place on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Meadow Green Memorial Park near Sandusky, Ohio.
Contributions in his memory to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or The Renaissance Theatre may be made at the church.
