George W. Webb, 85, of Delaware, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009 at his residence.
He was born on October 31, 1923 in Webbville, Kentucky to the late Clyde and Grace (Hill)
Webb. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He had been employed at the
former Nestle’s in Sunbury, for many years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved he outdoors, enjoyed farming and raising animals, and was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his son- George E. (Linda) Webb of Delaware; and his daughter- Joyce (Kim) Clements of Cypress, TX; 2 grandchildren- Kelsey Clements of Cypress, TX and Chrystal (Noel) Sparks of Delaware; 1 great grandchild- Ally Sparks of Delaware; 1 brother- D.J. (Mary) Webb; and 1 sister- Tina Belle Doane. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lucille Webb, in 2007; 3 sisters- Mary Elizabeth Doane, Jewel Webb and Peg Owens; and 1 brother- Herbert Webb. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., in the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 West William Street, Delaware, with Minister Ken Clark of Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, Delaware, officiating. Burial will follow in Radnor Cemetery.
