George D. Sambola, 39, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away late Monday evening March 24, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

He was born March 8, 1975 in New Orleans, Louisiana to George Metzler and Pamela Sambola.

He loved riding quads, playing volleyball, camping, and fishing. He enjoyed doing volunteer community service work with Habitat for Humanity and the Common Ground Free Store when able. He was also an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints.

He is survived by his mother Pamela Sambola and father George Metzler of Delaware; aunts Dawn (Brian) Kimes of Johnstown and Marilyn (Greg) Wandling of Delaware; cousins Warren Melerine, Katie and Christina Humphries, John Metzler, and Michael Kimes.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 1st from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the St. Bernard Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street, Chalmette, Louisiana. Burial will follow in St. Roch Cemetery.
