Genevieve Mitchell Oldham, age 95 of Sunbury passed away Wednesday, February 09, 2011 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 1, 1915 in Lucasville to the late John W. and Rousa (Canter) Gray. Originally from Columbus, she moved to the Sunbury area in 1958 and retired from the State of Ohio Department of Taxation.

A member of Sunbury Christian Church, she was an avid gardener, with roses being her favorite. Always forgiving and generous, she constantly put the needs of others before herself. A collector of porcelain dolls, she enjoyed an ornery streak. Genuine to the core she will be remembered for her love of family.

She was also preceded in death by husbands: William Puzines and Ray Oldham, son John “Jack” Puzines, daughter Genie Rataiczak, brothers: Carl, Henry, and Earl Mitchell, sister Helen Osborne, half-brother Sam Montgomery, half-sister Dolly Burton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son Michael Cline, 7 Grandchildren including: Jami (David) Nininger with whom she resided, Jeffrey “Todd” (Michele) Compton of Dublin, Numerous Great-grandchildren as well as several Great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Trenton Cemetery with Pastor Lloyd Huffer II officiating.
