Gaylon D. Landaker, 66, of Co. Rd. 242, Johnsville, Ohio died Friday, April 11, 2003 in Morrow Manor in Chesterville.

He was born in Caldwell, Ohio on June 20, 1936, the son of the late Dennie and Nellie Mincks Landaker. He served in the U.S. Marines in 1953-54. He worked as a machinist for Peabody-Barnes Corporation in Mansfield for 30 years until retiring. Gaylon enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Clara M. Bird Landaker, whom he married May 28, 1955; two sons Dennis (Lana) Landaker of Johnsville, OH, and Keith (Sheila) Landaker of Mt. Gilead, OH; two daughters Melody (Randy) Fulk of Fredericktown, OH, and Beth (Gary) Rose of Swanton, OH; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchild; a brother Jerry Landaker of Dresden, OH ; and two sisters Geneva Bluhm of Dresden, OH, and Bonnie Musgrave of Bremen, OH.

A daughter Nancy Flowers, two brothers Francis and Robert Landaker and sister Dorothy King preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the Snyder Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead on Monday from 6-8 p.m. Rev. Roger M. Keen will conduct funeral services there Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Shauck Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
