Gayle Jean Beal, age 65, of Mount Vernon, died Sunday June 1, 2014 at Vitas Hospice in Naples Florida.

Gayle was born May 23, 1949 in Mansfield. She was a 1967 graduate of Shelby High School and had been employed as a produce manager for the grocery industry.

Surviving are her daughter Tina (Shane) Byerly of Mansfield, her mother Eleanor (Frary) Hill of Loudenville; grandchildren Trystan Byerly, Dylan Byerly; step granddaughter Alicia Byerly and her sister Dyanna Garver of Mount Vernon. She was preceded in death by her father Arlo Gene Garver.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.

The family will observe a private memorial service at a later date.

The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon assisted the family with arrangements.

  • Dear Tina, I don’t know if you remember me but I working with your mom at the Swamp Buggy Lounge many years ago. We were the best of friends for many years. I just learned of her death this week end. I’m devistated. Couldn’t figure out why she wasn’t answering my calls. I didn’t even know she was ill. So sorry for your this loss. She was loved by many.
