Gary L. “Hollywood” Harding, age 68, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Country Club Care Center.  He was born on May 12, 1951 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the son of John and Helen (Agnew) Harding.  Gary previously worked at Chattanooga Glass before retiring from Sanoh in Mount Vernon.

Gary was a proud and faithful member of the Southside Breakfast Club and always enjoyed the open air of riding his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife Kathie (Staats) Harding whom he married on June 4, 1993; a son, Jamie (Jamie) Harding of New Eagle, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Amy Bullington of San Diego, California; step daughters, Brandie (Chris) Davisson of Granville and Robyn (David) Shepherd of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren, Cadence and Cooper Harding, John and Denise Bullington, Patrick and Jake Curtis and Ethan Shepherd; a sister, Kathy (Girard) Galetto of Lincoln Park, Michigan and special cousin, Chuck (Jeannie) McKenzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 beginning at 3 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Memorial contributions in Gary’s name may be made to the Patriot Riders at or your local Salvation Army.

I knew Gary when he worked at Chattanooga, not personally but got reacquainted at south side diner years ago and became good friends. all of us in the south side breakfast club are people we work with, went to school with or just became good friends. we are all in the same age group and when we lose one our best buds it makes it that much harder. love and prayers are with you all.
