Gary E. Wallace II

Gary E. Wallace II, age 43 of Sunbury died suddenly Monday, July 6, 2009 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Licking County.
He was born on December 1, 1965 in Gallipolis and was a graduate of Big Walnut High School in 1984 and served in the US Army Reserves. A plumber with Accurate Plumbing for 18 years, he was a member of V.F.W. Post #8736 and Sunbury Eagles Post No 3614.
Gary enjoyed NASCAR, Ohio State Football, singing karaoke, dancing, fishing, hunting, golfing, and cooking. Always happy and a very hardworking man, he was honest, proud, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. He was happiest being a father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his unique laugh and his humorous spirit.
Survived by his pride and joy, daughter Lindsey Wallace of Delaware, grandson: Gavin, fiance: Diane Hyland of Johnstown, mother: Kay (Bernie) Starkey of Mt. Vernon, brothers: Chad (Rachel) Wallace of Gallipolis, Mark (Carla) Starkey of Croton, Darrin (Tricia) Starkey, Chris Starkey of Mt. Vernon, step-mother: Shirley Wallace of Gallipolis, former wife and best friend: Tammy Wallace, parents-in-law: Dallas and Sharon Lehman of Sunbury, sister-in-law: Susan Lehman of Powell, and a host of friends.
May his soul now rest in peace as he is reunited with his father: Gary I and son: Gary III, who preceded him in death.
Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Rd., Westerville, where services will be held Saturday 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating, interment Sunbury Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury.
