Frederick W. Jones

Frederick W. Jones, 85, of Touby Road, Mansfield, died Friday morning April 11, 2003, in his home following a long illness.
Frederick was born December 24, 1917 in Mansfield. He was graduated from Madison High School in 1935. A United States Coast Guard veteran, he served during WWII in the American Theater.
Frederick was a lifelong area resident and was the founder of the Jones Potato Chip Co. where he worked until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the New Life Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Hellinger Jones whom he married August 14, 1940; three daughters and sons-in-law Dianne and Roy Kehl of Bellville, Elayne “Lani” and Bruce Snyder of Bellville, and Anita Jones of Mansfield; three sons and daughters-in-law Steven and Saundra Jones of Mansfield, Robert and Regina Jones of Bellville, and Darryl and Angela Jones of New Concord; eighteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law Caroline Beard of Mansfield, and Rhea and Harold Beery of Smithville; a half sister Helen Reeves of North Carolina; a half brother William Domka of Galion; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special family friend Virgil Riggenbach.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Domka, and two sisters Marjorie Dawson and Rachael Rust.
According to Frederick’s wishes the family will be observing private funeral services with burial in Bellville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bellville Snyder Funeral Home.
