Fred B. Fisher, 84, of State Route 314, Chesterville, Ohio died Friday morning, December 7, 2001 at his home.

He was born in Princeton, WV on May 3, 1917, the son of the late William G. and Mattie Bower Fisher. He graduated from Chesterville High School. He served as a fighter pilot instructor in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He resided in Chesterville and Mt. Vernon for most of his life. He operated Fisher’s Water Well Service for many years and retired from National Seating in Mansfield. He was a member of the Chesterville United Methodist Church, the Am Vets Post #87, the V.F.W. Post #8054, the Mt. Vernon Moose Lodge, and Seniors on Center in Mt. Gilead. Fred enjoyed flying, mowing grass, and his family.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law William & Donna Fisher of Chesterville, OH, and Terry & Sandie Fisher of Mt. Gilead, OH; 4 grandchildren Gary Fisher, Cindy Jennings, Angela Hylton & Kelly Fisher; 13 great grandchildren; three brothers Carter Fisher of Mt. Gilead, OH, John Fisher of Birmingham, AL and Bob Fisher of Mt. Vernon, OH; a sister Margie Lamb of Tavares, FL; and a dear friend Betty Millisor of Marion, Oh.

Three brothers Raymond, Frank, and Carl Fisher and two sisters Lois Beck and Elizabeth Davis preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the Craven Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Pastor Mark Boedeker will conduct funeral services there Monday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.
