Frank M. Carlyle, age 87 of Delaware, died Sunday morning December 14, 2003 at Arbors of Delaware.

He was born in Point Pleasant, WV. on July 10, 1916 to the late Earl and Velma (Roberts) Carlyle. He retired from the Shipping Dept. at the Lawson Milk Co. in Springfield in 1980. He has been a resident of Delaware since 1980 coming from Springfield. WWII Army Veteran and received the Purple Heart, member of Christian Life Church, VFW, American Legion and loved to fish.

Survived by his Wife of 65 years: Leoma (Leonard) Carlyle and they were married May 7, 1938 in WV.; Sons and Daughters-in-law: Don & Gayle of Indian Lake, Roger & Carolee of Gahanna, Bill & Patty of Ft. Myers, Fl.; 7 Grandchildren: Steve, Curt, Bret, Jill, Matt, Kevin, Tricia; 5 Great Grandchildren: Michael, Scott, Aaron, Amanda, Jackson; 1 Great-Great Grandchild: Sydney Ann. Brothers: Branch (Dooley), Hib and Dennis all of Columbus; Sister: Evelyn Bush of Gallipolis Ferry, WV.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William Street, Delaware where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Terre Haute Cemetery.
