MANSFIELD: Francis Louise Jacobs, 70, of Mansfield passed away Monday morning April 6, 2009 from the inpatient Hospice House of Hospice of North Central Ohio.

She was born January 5, 1939 to Willard and Anna Belle (Hoverstick) Prosser and was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1957.

On March 8, 1958 she married Paul D. Jacobs.

For 22 years, Francis worked at General Motors in the assembly division. She retired in 1999.

Hard working and dedicated, these attributes beamed from Francis. She kept a clean home and the yard was always in pristine condition. In her spare time, Francis could often be found working in her garden. She dearly loved raising her Bichon Frise and Maltese puppies. Francis will be remembered for her love and devotion for her husband and family.

Francis is survived by her loving husband Paul D. Jacobs of Mansfield; daughters and sons-in-law Vickie and Ernie Lambright of Mansfield and Debra and Randy Napier of Shelby, son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Deanah Jacobs of Mt. Vernon, and a daughter Theresa Jacobs of Mansfield; grandchildren; Nicole Lambright, Jeff, Josh, Matt and Cory Jacobs; Rick, Andy and Ben Napier, Kim Falquez and Jenny Sampley; three sisters and one brother-in-law Charlotte Ann Stewart of Crestline, Lorraine (C.H. “Hoppy”) Campbell Pugh of Bellville, Laura and Russell Shields of Mansfield; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Gloria Jean Hagedorn.

The Jacobs family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home (Former Finefrock Funeral Home), and one hour prior to the funeral services which will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Elena Langstaff will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
