MANSFIELD: Frances Mae Taylor, 87, formerly of Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, died Wednesday morning August 9, 2006 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a short illness.

Now at home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she was born May 15, 1919 in Hebron, in Licking County, to Herman A. and Mabel C. (Silvers) Avery, and was graduated from Hebron High School in 1937.

On November 24, 1943 she married Haldon F. Taylor, and they spent most of their lives in the Lexington area, and were members of the Steam Corners United Methodist Church. Haldon preceded her in death on October 6, 1989.

She was a member of Cloverleaf Community Club, and Community Baptist Bible Church.

She is survived by her daughter Linda L. Harris of Galion; her son Thomas H. Taylor of Marion; a grandson Michael Harris; three step grandchildren Tyler DeGraf, Briann DeGraf and Ethan Zeger; numerous “adopted” grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister Naomi Ford of Newark; nieces and nephews; a treasured friend Zettie Robinson; and her cherished and devoted caregivers Janet Peterson, Linda Blunk and Linda Rinehart.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers Herman Avery, Jr. and Karl Avery.

The family will receive friends this evening, Thursday August 10, 2006 from 5-8 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, and on Friday from noon until 1 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 1 pm. Pastor Ben Pletcher will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
