Floyd A. Moffett, 72 of Delaware died early Tuesday morning at his residence. He was born December 13, 1934 in Delaware to John Moffett and Harriett (Crouch) Moffett. He was a plumber for Ohio Wesleyan University, a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, and an Air Force veteran serving from 1954 – 1957. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline (Vance) of 14 years; 2 daughters, Christine (Fred) Shaibani of Union City, California and Rose (Robert) Blesedell of Ashley; son, John (Marilyn) Moffett of Marysville; 4 stepsons, Michael (Lisa) Shaw of Columbus, George “Andy” (Nancy) Shaw of Marysville, Tim (Rhonda) Shaw of Delaware, and Gary (Tasha) Shaw of Ashley; 2 grandsons and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; sister, Betty Moffett of Delaware; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Claude and Jody Laird of Marysville; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clarice, a daughter Mary Kay Moffett, and a brother Marion. The family will receive friends on Thursday September 27th from 5 – 8 pm at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Friday September 28th at 10:00 am with Pastor Bruce Quatman officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Dell Cemetery with military honors at graveside. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for research.
