BELLVILLE: Florence Marie Jensen, 85, of Myers Avenue, Bellville, died Wednesday evening March 12, 2003 in Woodlawn, following a long illness.

Now at home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she was born August 4, 1917 in Washington Township, Richland County to Rolla and Mae Swigart Armstrong, and was graduated from Lexington High School in 1936.

On June 26, 1938 she married Richard C. Jensen, and they moved to Bellville in 1939.

A homemaker, Florence was a member of the New Life Church of Christ in Bellville, where she formerly served the congregation as Sunday school teacher.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Charles Frontz of Bellville, her son and daughter-in-law Dan and Connie Jensen of Findlay; four grandchildren and their spouses Sandee and Michael Leeka of Hilliard, Michael and Sherry Frontz of Mansfield, Lisa and Christopher LaCongo of Holland, New York and Todd Jensen of Columbus; seven great grandchildren Brandon Baker, Kristin Baker, Ryan Leeka, Chandler Leeka, James Frontz, Julia Frontz, and Andrew LaCongo; two brothers and sisters-in-law Ken and Jean Armstrong and Marlin and Marge Armstrong all of Fredericktown; a sister-in-law Vivian Armstrong of Lexington; and a brother-in law; Kenneth Mowry of Bellville.

She was preceded in death by three sisters Elsie Mowry, Bertha Ridenour and Ruby Garber; and two brothers Emery Armstrong and Leland Armstrong.

The funeral service celebrating her home-going will be held today Friday March 14, 2003 at 2 pm in New Life Church of Christ, 195 West Durbin Street, Bellville. Pastors Steve Kistler and Dan Noe will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church building the hour prior to the service. The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.

Memorial contributions to New Life Church of Christ or Jefferson Township-Bellville Rescue Squad may be made through the funeral home.
