Florence A. Curtis, age 83 of Delaware and formerly of Radnor, passed away Tuesday evening, November 1st at The Arbors of Delaware. She was born July 14, 1928 in Delaware to Chester and Daisey Price Kerr. A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Radnor High School Class of 1946 and retired from the meat department at Buehler’s Foods. Florence was a 4-H advisor with over 30 years of service. She was known for her baking, cooking, and family dinners. She was affiliated with the Radnor United Church of Christ and is survived by her 4 daughters Ruth (Ken) Hing, Janet (Rick) Jones, Jean Curtis, and Marilyn (James) Jones, all of Delaware; 2 sons Robert (Janice) of Ostrander and Steven (Cindy) of Waldo; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers Raymond of Marietta, GA, Charles of Delaware, James of Arizona, and William of Pennsylvania; and 1 sister Susan Clutter of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford in 1990, brothers Tom and Robert and a sister Martha. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Radnor Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Diabetes Association (envelopes will be available at the funeral home).
