June 30, 1946 ‒ August 01, 2020
Everett Caudill, age 74 of Marion, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 (43 years to the day that his father passed away in 1977) in Galion surrounded by his loving family.
Everett was born June 30, 1946 in Red Jacket, WV, the son of Elbert and Delores (Newell) Caudill. Everett grew up to be master tradesmen, having a talent for anything that came his way. He worked hard to provide for his family, retiring from Guardian. Even in retirement, he continued to be a caregiver for the elderly and disabled.
On April 2, 1977 in Wise, West Virginia, Everett was united in marriage to Linda C. Marks; many times Everett could be found singing “Till My Last Day” and After the Lovin” to his bride. Linda preceded Everett in death on April 7, 2020 and now they are slow dancing together again.
Everett was a lover of life and lived it to the fullest. He loved to be with people and had friends everywhere he went. Making people laugh was second nature to Everett. He was known for his love of scratch off tickets, karaoke, dancing, bowling and of course fishing. Everett was a true gentleman who treated others with respect and kindness, giving of himself freely to the needs of those he selflessly cared for. He loved hard and leaves a lasting legacy of goodness and love. He was a member of the American Legion Post #584 and the VFW of Galion.
He is survived by children: Chip (Missy) Parker of Marion, Rick (Leah) Parker of Galion, Tammy Spear of Galion, Sherry (Mike Stish) Stone of Galion, and Serrena (Tyler) Swartz of South Carolina; 14 grandchildren: Chris Parker, Ashley Hawes, Crystal Hawes, Nikita Lehman, Matthew Christian, Angi McCoy, Jim McCoy, Ricky Parker, Natasha Parker, Amanda Shephard, Ammie Wyman, Victoria Spear, Phillip Swartz and Chelsi Swartz; 33 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister, Carolyn Avila and his beloved dog, Pepper.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents; 1 great grandchild and siblings: Linda Sue Caudill and James Caudill.
