Eva Pauline Mayo

E. Pauline Mayo, age 78 of Sunbury passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 21, 2005 at Bennington Glen in Marengo.
She was born on January 14, 1927 in Garrett, KY to the late Albert M. and Nila Bell (Dyer) Hale. Originally from Columbus, the homemaker had been an area resident since 1977. Resourceful in nature, she was known for her honesty and strong will. She was very creative, enjoyed sewing, and with her green thumb could make any plant flourish.
Survived by Sons: Clark Mayo and (Sandy Smith) of Westerville, Ray (Linda) Mayo of Sunbury, James (Cathy) Mayo of Worthington, Daughter: Donna (James) Speakman of Marengo, Grandchildren: Laura (Ray) Sullivan, Casey Mayo, Chad (Sara) Speakman, Sonne and Luke Chaney, Lisa, Teresa, and Sara D’Amico, Great-grandchildren: Hannah and Grace Sullivan, Jack and Caden D’Amico, Trinity Speakman, Brother: Thurman (Joan) Hale of Foley, AL, Sisters: Wanda (Harold) Howard of Norwalk, Goldie Riddle Portsmouth, Helen (Chuck) Stone of Galena.
Preceded in death by Sisters: Edna Hodge, Betty Amyx, Brothers: Walter Hale, William Hale, and 2 infant brothers.
Friends may call 2 hours prior to the funeral services which will be held Friday 12:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, with Pastor Dennis Stranges. Burial will follow in Galena Cemetery.
