BELLVILLE- Esther Marie Frech, age 98, of Bellville, passed away Monday April 4, 2011 in Homestead Hospital, in Homestead, Florida following a brief illness.

The daughter of Arthur and Cora (Shaver) Kissling, Esther was born March 22, 1913 in Nevada. A graduate of Bucyrus high school she also played on the women’s varsity basketball team.

On January 2, 1932 she married Peter Frech.

Esther worked as a waitress for the former San Dar Smorgasboard and also retired from GI Industries. Esther was blessed with good health and for the past 37 years she enjoyed wintering in Key Largo, Florida. While in Florida she attended Key Largo Baptist Church.

Described as friendly and kind, whether in Bellville or Florida, Esther never met a stranger and placed the needs of others above her own.

Esther loved a good game of euchre and spending time with family.

She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law Helen & Bill Ridenour of Bellville and Mary Ann & Bill Jackson of Mansfield; a son and daughter-in-law Peter W. & Carroll Frech of Ontario; eleven grandchildren and their spouses Sharon & John Dodds of Bellville, Randy & Toni Ridenour of Mansfield, Bill & Karen Ridenour of Bellville, Rick & Susan Foss of Lucas, Ronald & Jeanette Foss of Lucas, Randy & Tonya Foss of Ft. Pierce, FL, Rob & Debi Foss of Lucas, Joey & Lorie Jackson of Loudonville, Kim Jackson & Paul Landsburg of Raleigh, NC, Tonja Coon of Savannah, GA, and Phillip & Linda Frech of Mansfield; 33 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and a niece and her husband Eileen & Homer Hedges of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Peter Frech, along with two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call Sunday April 10, 2011 from 2-7pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11am in the funeral home. The Rev. H. E. “Howdie” Burnett will officiate. A committal service and burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery in Wyandot County at 3pm.

Memorial contributions to the Bellville Jefferson Township Rescue Squad or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital may be made at the funeral home.
