Esther Mae Yarman, age 97, of Wooster Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, June 09, 2005 at the Country Club Retirement Center. She was born January 12, 1908 in Perry County, Ohio the daughter of the late Marshall and May (Horn) Snider. Esther was a graduate of the Thornville High School and also of Manchester College in Manchester, Indiana. She was a former high school teacher at Amity High School. She was a member of the Owl Creek Church of the Brethren in Ankenytown.

Surviving is a son Gene (Jane) Yarman of Mount Vernon, two daughters; Rosalie (Robert) Dinkelacker of Cincinnati and Janice (David) Noble of Hackettstown, New Jersey, ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond H. Yarman, and two infant daughters; Marilyn and Joyce.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 2:30 P.M. at the Owl Creek Church of the Brethren in Ankenytown with Reverend James Lifer officiating. Friends may call at the church Saturday from 12:30 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Owl Creek Cemetery in Ankenytown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Owl Creek Church of the Brethren or to Hospice of Knox County.
