Esther Ernestine “Teenie” Lowe, 95, of Ostrander passed away Sunday evening, February 3, 2019 at her daughter’s residence in Delaware surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 5, 1923 in Warrensburg to the late Ernest and Gertrude (Decker) Swartz. On July 26, 1944, she married the love of her life Robert “Bobby” G. Lowe. They shared 61 years of marriage together. Sadly, Robert passed away in 2005.

Teenie started working as a cook in the cafeteria at Warrensburg and Ostrander Schools and then later at Buckeye Valley Schools, where she retired from after 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and flower gardening. She also enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, vacationing in Canada every summer, and traveling with her husband Bobby to Navy reunions.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Charlotte (Reggie) Piatt of Delaware; son, Glenn (Debbie) Lowe of Ostrander; daughter-in-law, Beverly Lowe of Ostrander; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Teenie was also preceded in death by her daughter Karen Lowe-Easterday, sons Bobby and Jerry Lowe, her granddaughter Jessica Lowe and 6 sisters.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 11:00 am – 12: 00 (noon) at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive (formerly 1510 W. William Street), Delaware, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 (noon) with Pastor Donald Moceri officiating. Burial will then take place in Newhouse Cemetery in Ostrander. The family will then host a reception in the Snyder-Rodman Community Room immediately following the services at graveside.

The Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center is honored to serve the Lowe family.

  • I will miss her so much. She was always like a Mom to me. Her andBibby always treated like a daughter. While in school spent a lot of time at the big yellow house in Warrensbug.
