Erma J. Roberts, age 88, of Fredericktown passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Winchester Terrace Nursing Home in Mansfield.

She was born on December 24, 1925 in Knox County, Ohio to the late Alva and Zella (Leedy) Bechtel. Erma was a member of the Palmyra Church of Christ, the Fredericktown Senior Citizens, and the North Liberty Garden Club. Erma enjoyed birds, flowers, sewing and gardening. But most of all she loved the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly (Ron) Flynn of Bellville; two sons, Ron (Tobey) Roberts of Mansfield, Rich (Jennifer) Roberts of Fredericktown; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Erma was preceded in death by her husband Howard Roberts; her step-son Harold Roberts; three brothers, Harold, Howard and Eldon Bechtel; and two sisters Arlene Kunkel and Edith Alexander.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. The service will be held on Thursday, at the funeral home, beginning at 11 AM with Rev. Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
