Erma Walter Treece, 87, of St. Rt. 61, Mt. Gilead, Ohio died Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at Woodside Village.

She was a lifelong Morrow County resident, where she was born June 25, 1914, the daughter of the late George and Effie Woodcock McClelland. She graduated from Mt. Gilead High School in 1936. She worked as a cashier and bookkeeper for Geyer’s Market in Mt. Gilead for 25 years until retiring. She was a member of the Iberia United Methodist Church and the Orchid Twig at Morrow County Hospital.

She is survived by her husband John Treece; a son and daughter-in-law Leroy & Donna Walter of Mt. Gilead, OH; a daughter and son-in-law Lois & Dale Beck of Galion, OH; two step-sons John F. Treece and Paul A. Treece both of Findlay, OH; three step-daughters Roberta Parker, Gert Gary and Mrs. Patrick (Martha) Gallagher all of Findlay, OH; 5 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 22 step-great grandchildren; and 1 great great step-grandchild.

Her first husband Carl E. Walter and a brother Harold McClelland also preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Craven Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. Pastor Andrew Wells will conduct funeral services there Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Shauck Cemetery in Johnsville.
