Erma A. Uxley, 77, of Galion, died Monday, May 22, 2006 at Village Care Center, Galion, after a long illness.

She was born May 16, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pa. She is survived by her husband Warren G. Uxley, whom she married May 31, 1950.

She is also survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Warren G. Uxley, Jr. and Lee D. and Sara Uxley, all of Galion and Mark and Lori Uxley of Pickerington; five grandchildren, LeeAnne and Laura Uxley of Galion and Andrew, Alexander and Adam Uxley of Pickerington and one sister, Mary Gustafson of Philadelphia.

She was a member of Twig 2 of the Galion Community Hospital Auxiliary and was quietly proud of her 27, 700 volunteer hours. A large portion of this accumulated when she worked at and later managed the Auxiliary’s “Nearly New” shop in Uptown Galion.
