Emory “David” Howard

Emory “David” Howard, age 92 of Delaware died suddenly Thursday, March 11, 2003 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He was born on January 22, 1911 in Liberty Twp. to the late Elijah and Minnie (Carson) Howard. Graduate of Powell High School Class of 1929. He was a lifelong area farmer and former school bus driver for Berlin Schools. David enjoyed farming, old farm machinery, member of Rural Chapel United Methodist Church and the former Utopian Grange.

Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years: Annabel M. (Rodenfels) Howard and infant daughter: Sharon.

Survived by Sons: Robert (Patricia) Howard of Columbus, Dan (Karla) Corl of Mt. Vernon, 10 Grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren, neighbors and friends.

Friends may call Friday 4-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 a.m. at Rural Chapel United Methodist Church, 5860 Cheshire Rd., Galena, with Pastor Russell Ham officiating, interment Cheshire Cemetery.
