LEXINGTON: On May 24th 2019, Emma Irene Saxton went home to the loving arms of The Lord. She was a mother, Granny and Great grandma and she was incredible at each of them and was always there when her family needed her. She loved shopping, Disney, her Dog Fred and all of her family and extended family. She was always up for a laugh, jigsaw puzzle, and a good game of cards. Now she’s dancing in heaven with the love of her life Harry.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her father, her brother and her loving husband Harry Saxton.

She leaves behind her sons David (Diana) Saxton, Pastor Bob (Tina) Saxton and Tom (Kim Kirk) Saxton; grandsons Jason (Leslie) Saxton and Jacob (Cassie) Saxton; granddaughters Julie (Andrew) Schock, Mindy (Matthew) Miller, Allissa (Carver) Saxton-Mustin, Sara (Matt Leedy) Saxton, and her special granddaughter Emily (Hunter Wilging) Saxton; as well as 15 great grandchildren; sister Jane Kuhns; numerous nieces, nephew, friends and extended family.

The Saxton family will receive friends Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 10-11 a.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service honoring Emma’s life will begin immediately at 11 a.m. Pastor Gus Peter will speak. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.

  • Aunt Rene was the so loving.One of my best memories is when we went to Ceator point an we all slept in the camper. That little camper fit 6 of us. Aunt Rene kept telling don’t drink the water, did i listen no. She was there for me when i didn’t feel good. Than after we ran around the park we pulled out a deck of cards an had fun.
    I love you Aunt Rene Pull the cards out an play cards with mom & dad. I bet you have the Grand Slam hand. xoxoxoxo

  • Each of Irenes family have my deepest sympathy. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. It was so wonderful the love and care you gave Irene. You never left her side. Each of you will never have any regrets for all you did. She may be gone from this earthly place,but never from your heart.

  • I have wonderful memories of Harry and Irene both. Have known them since I was a child and always looked forward to visits to their house. I remember them accompanying our family on trips and they made it really fun for us kids.
