Emily S. Friece, age 63 of South Vienna formerly of Marengo and Kilbourne went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 20, 2006 surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 15, 1942 in Galena the daughter of Susie (Moodespaugh) Hubbard and the late Joe T. Hubbard. While her younger years were spent in the Galena area, she resided in Kilbourne for 29 years, moving onto Marengo in 1997 and recently to South Vienna. Emily worked as an inspector for Ranco Controls in Delaware and was a member of the Ranco Retirees Breakfast Club and attended the Urbana Nazarene Church.

A fan of Bluegrass Country music, always willing to help others, she will be remembered for her caring and giving qualities. Known as a wonderful cook, she enjoyed camping, but most importantly her grandchildren and Pomeranian companion: Sandy.

Survived by her husband of 48 years: Rudy, Son Kenneth (Debbie) Friece of South Vienna, Daughter: Sonja Burgess of Delaware, Grandchildren: Kenny (Amy), Chad (Ali), Ben, Alissa, Jenna Friece, Brandon Carpenter (Fiancé: Laura), Adam Burgess, Mother: Susie Hubbard of Delaware, Brother: Jack (Brenda) Hubbard of Sparta, Sisters: Jean Miller of Delaware, Phyllis (Junior) Sparks of Delaware, Rhonda (Dan) Davidson of Centerburg.

Preceded in death by her Father on May 12, 2005 and Sister: Crystal Hubbard on December 5, 2000.

Friends may call Thursday 5-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. with Captain Keith A. Campbell and Rev. Crate Sparks officiating. Interment will follow in Green Mound Cemetery in Kilbourne.
