Elmer F. ‘Bud” Egner

Elmer F. “Bud” Egner, age 83 of Delaware died Friday evening, November 12, 2004 at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 3, 1921 in Crawford County to the late Martin E. Egner and Evelyn (Stocker) Young. He moved to Delaware in 1982 from Dublin and was a US Navy Veteran of WW II. Bud was a driver and terminal co-owner of F. J. Egner & Son, he also was a truck driver for Columbus Coated Fabrics.
A member of St Mary Church, FOE #376, he enjoyed boating, camping, sports, and traveling out West. He was proud of his career, family and most importantly his wife.
Survived by his wife of 60 years: Helen L. (Funk), Children: Keith Egner, Kathy (Steve) Egner Mason, Janet (Michael) Egner Hinkle all of Delaware, 6 Grandchildren: Lisa (Tony) Rigel of Delaware, Lori (Andy) Werner of Upper Sandusky, Marsha (Eric) Taynor of Delaware, Steve (Renee) Mason of Radnor, Michelle Mason of Delaware, Tiffinee Hinkle of Delaware, 8 Great-grandchildren: Angela, Andrew Werner, Kayla, Kollin Rigel, Tyler, Brittany Taynor, Ashlynn, Shelby Mason, former Daughter-in-law: Betsi Egner.
Friends may call Monday 2-4 & 6-8, prayer services 4:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where services will be held Tuesday 1:00 p.m. Fr David Sizemore officiating, burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Delaware with military honors provide by the Delaware County Veterans Assoc.
