Ella J. Browning, age 90 of Lewis Center, died Friday afternoon April 1, 2011 at Grady Memorial Hospital.
She was born on April 5, 1920 in Wharncliffe WV to the late Johnson and Tennessee (Gibson) Hatfield. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of God.
Ella enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In her younger years she enjoyed making quilts, shopping and gardening. Ella will be remembered by her family for her chicken and dumplings.
She is survived by sons: Harold (Rainell) of Reynoldsburg, Delmas (Hattie) of Summerford, Dallas (Anita) of Hilliard, Roger (Judy) of Columbus; daughter: Rhoda (Johnnie) Thompson of Marengo; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband: Melvin on August 2, 1987; son: Dana in 1984; brother: Jimmy Hatfield; sister: Kizzie Morrison.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8- p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William Street, Delaware where service will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. with family and friends officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Memorial Park.
