Elizabeth M. “Beth” Faulkner, 18, of Mount Gilead, Ohio died early Saturday morning October 7, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born on July 7, 1988 in Somerset, Pennsylvania the daughter of Heidi E. and Keith A. Yutzy and Kevin M. and Wendy Faulkner.
Before her graduation from Mount Gilead High School In the class of 2006 she was involved in Mock Trial; where she honed her debating skills, was a “Most Improved Scholar” Award winner, and was an aid for her various teachers. She also worked at the Cornerstone Café as a waitress where she was very well liked by her customers. Now, a freshman at Kent State University, majoring in Psychology, a very artistic person, she enjoyed playing the keyboard and writing poetry. Her family described her as “sweet, caring, beautiful, and stubborn”. She loved her dogs having 8 at home, but Dillon, a Japanese Chin, held a special place in her heart. Due to her petite stature she had various nicknames. Her Grandma Kathy called her a “little porcelain doll”, while her grandpa Harry called her “Itzy Bitzy” since the day she was born. Her grandma Kathy said she was my “little rugrat”. Her many friends called her cupcake. She was certainly a young lady with so much potential.
