Elizabeth I. Randall, age 91, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on November 22, 1928 in Honecker, West Virginia, the daughter of Howard and Bessie (Honecker) Hess.  Elizabeth was loved by her family and spent the last fourteen years living with her daughter and granddaughter.

She is survived by her two daughters, Judy Grubaugh of Fredericktown and Mary (John) Hatfield of Fredericktown; four grandchildren, Bill Grubaugh, Wendy (Chad) Cunningham, John Paul (Heidi) Hatfield and Melissa Chandler; nine great grandchildren, Cory (Zoe Strouse) Cunningham, Leighton Cunningham, Clem Cunningham, Lincoln Cunningham, Makena Cunningham, Trace Hatfield, Emma Hatfield, Ty Hatfield and Ellie Hatfield; two sisters, Ann Newton of Fredericktown and Betty Bates of Georgia.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Conard Burch, second husband, Denis Randall, a son, William Burch, a brother, Earlie Combs and a sister, Mary Alice Gobble.

The family will observe a private graveside in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.  The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Elizabeth I. Randall.

  • Aunt Lib you will be missed. I’ll always remember you as the active go getter that loved to shop the sales with my mom and dad. You’re finally reunited with Bill after all these years. Rest peacefully.

    I remember with fondness going to visit Better and Denis during the Christmas Season with the Fredericktown VFW Post. The Christmas Village was so pretty. Betty was always there for her family and a loving kind person. R.I.P.
