Elijah Formhals

April 26, 2001 ‒ May 10, 2019

Bellville, Ohio

Bellville resident and Clear Fork High School Senior Elijah Formhals unexpectedly graduated from this life with honors on the morning of Friday, May 10, 2019 at his residence. Born April 26, 2001 in Cullman, Alabama, Elijah radiated joy and love everywhere he went. He never met a stranger and would talk anyone’s ear off if they let him. He had compassion for everyone who crossed his path, always had a smile on his face and endured all the hardships life brought him head on with faith that tomorrow would be a better day. As a child, he dreamed of becoming an astronaut. His passion for food later in life sparked the belief in him that becoming a chef and opening a restaurant would be much more fun. He loved movies, playing games with family, video gaming, reading, country music, manning the grill, teasing his sisters and giving the biggest, rib-crushing bear hugs. His favorite pastime in the world was spending moments laughing and hanging out with his family.

Elijah is survived by his mother, Sarah (Mark) Anderson; father, Jeffrey (Paula) Formhals, sisters, Christian and Chloe Formhals; step-sisters,  Stephanie and Kaitlyn Pate; Grandparents, Ricky (Michelle) Anderson, Mary Berger, Sharon Formhals, Laura Bingham, Randy (Athena) Bingham; Great-grandmothers, Mary Hon, Doris Anderson, Stella Stewart, and Margie Bingham as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Graduation Party to celebrate the life of Elijah will be held at Storyside Church, 541 St. Rt. 97 W. Bellville, OH 44813 on Saturday May 18, 2019 from 2-6pm. This is a casual event, so please wear a fun t-shirt or bright colors that would bring a smile to Elijah’s face and honor the goofy guy he loved to be; no funeral attire please.

The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is honored to assist Elijah’s family with his Life Celebration Service.

In lieu of floral arrangements, please consider outdoor perennial plants so they can live on in his memory, bird feeders or other lawn ornaments. Contributions for a memorial tree planted in Elijah’s honor may be made through the funeral home (please make checks payable to Sarah Anderson).
