Eileen Elizabeth Ferriman, age 87 of Marion, passed away on Friday October 2, 2015 at the Marion General Hospital.

Eileen was born on December 18, 1927 in Prospect, the daughter of Roy R. and Ruth M. (Ehret) Seitter. She attended Waldo High School and graduated in the class of 1946.

On December 4, 1947, Eileen was united in marriage to James E. Ferriman in Kentucky, together they shared 66 years of marriage until James preceded her in death on January 11, 2014.

Eileen will be dearly missed by her loving children: Janet (Jim) Haycox, Richard (Ruie) Ferriman, Betty (Alfred) Beringer and Connie (Peter) Briski; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and siblings: Gerald (Barbara) Seitter and Patricia “Pat” (Ken) Mishler.

She is preceded in death by her husband James E. Ferriman; her parents; a son James; one grandchild and 2 brothers: Carl and Donald Seitter.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Graveside services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

  • I lived across the street from your mom and dad until 2007. They were great neighbors, strong willed and fun to be around. I appreciated how kind they were to me when I lost my wife. Your Mom took care of my Dad Frank Moore till the day he passed away.Didn’t know her well because I wasn’t close to my Dad,but I Thank her very much.When I moved to Marion,15 yrs.ago and bought a house on Fairview St..right behind where my Dad’s house was on Lynn Dr.,I did go to her house on Fairwood to see er and I Thanked her for all her help.   • We are so sorry to learn of yor mom’ s death. We spent many hours talking with your folks while visiting our mom. They were such wonderful neighbors to my folks. With time, only sweet memories will remain.

  • We are so sorry for your loss. We have always tried to keep up with the obituaries in Marion and realized with Eileen obituary that Jim past away last year. So sorry we were not there for you. Mike & I have wonderful memories. And alot of good times.My parents loved them, too. I know you will miss them so much. My parents have been gone 20 years already & it doesn’t seem possible.
