Edythe “Eydie” Schemine

Edythe “Eydie” Schemine, age 62, of Delaware died Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2004 at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

She was born in Lynchburg, VA on October, 14, 1941 to the late Joseph and Mary Helen (Witt) Mangold. Graduate of Bishop Watterson High School Class of 1960. She has resided in Delaware since 1962, and was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church. Eydie was a homemaker and worked retouching photographs for Spectrum Color of Delaware. She loved cooking for and taking care of her family. She enjoyed long rides in the country, covered bridges, and crocheting. Eydie also collected bells, knick knacks, angels, and especially butterflies.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Steve Schemine, a son; Steven Michael (Susi) Schemine of Delaware, two daughters; Christina Noel Schemine of Delaware and Jeaniene Renae (Tim) Doughty of Galloway, and two grandchildren; Scott Schemine and Shelby Kaye Doughty, a brother; John Mangold of Hudson, FL, and a sister Margaret Rose Young of Denton, TX.

Friends may call Monday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR36), Delaware, where prayer services will be at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware with Father Kevin Kavanagh celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Mary Cemetery.
