Sergeant Edwin Henry Faulkner, 75, of Delaware died Sunday afternoon at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born January 23, 1934 in Peoria, Arizona to Wilmot Eugene Faulkner and Suda (Rogers) Faulkner. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired as general manager of the Svenhard’s Swedish Bakery in Oakland, California. He has been a Delaware resident since 2002 and was also a member of the Vineyard Church of Delaware County. He enjoyed reading and was a volunteer chaplain for the Oakland, California Police Department and the California State Penal Systems and a member of the Businessmen’s Fellowship. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie (Stephenson); daughter, Deanna Faulkner of Delaware; son, Dale (Kimberly) Faulkner of Delaware; grandson, Matthew (Cathy) Faulkner of Hampton, Illinois; 2 brothers, Stanley (Jayne) Faulkner of Albany, Oregon and Douglas (Renee) Faulkner of Menefee, California; sister, Sue (Laban) West of Yukon, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Buddy and Ronald Faulkner and a sister Patricia Nelson. There will be no calling hours or funeral services observed.
