Edwin E. Franklin

Edwin E. Franklin, age 84 of Marion died Sunday evening at his residence.
He was born on August 28, 1922 to the late George E. Franklin and Josephine Franklin Stoffer in Kent, Ohio.
Edwin served in the Navy during WWII. On November 28, 1946, in Galion, Ohio, he married his wife of 60 years, the former Donna R. Schwaderer.
He worked as a self employed floor covering installer and owned Franklin Floor Covering.
Edwin was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Waldo VFW post #7201 and a former member of Marion Elks Lodge. He was an avid outdoors man and liked to hunt, fish, garden and care for his yard.
In addition to his wife Edwin is survived by one daughter Diana Schelb (Ed Cooper) of Powell, one grandson Jon Eric Schelb of Columbus and one half-brother George (Mary) Stoffer.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Donald Franklin and Charles Stoffer and one sister June Bowen.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 pm Wednesday at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 10:30 am at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Waldo. Burial will follow in the Claridon Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council.
