Edward Joseph Mazur
January 08, 1922 ‒ December 23, 2012
BELLVILLE: Edward Joseph Mazur, 90, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 in Country Meadow Care Center in the presence of his family.
He was born January 8, 1922 in Cleveland to Joseph and Eva Rose (Mattis) Mazuraitis.
On September 15, 1951 he married Adrina “Dee” Carol Walden, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage before her passing in 2007.
Edward exemplified loving kindness and always expressed an interest in others. His love for music, beauty and nature complimented his late wife Dee’s, and together they created warm, richly beautiful inviting homes.
The qualities all who knew him will remember are first, his grateful attitude expressed often as he liltingly, almost sang “Thank you, thank you.” Second, Ed’s positive attitude was evident in many ways, from the good living he made selling Kirby vacuum cleaners to later singing “that’s good, that’s good.” Finally, he will be remembered for his interest in others.
Edward was a warmly, loving man, who knew how to help create rich beautiful, peace-filled environments wherever he went. He was an inspiration to many and a role model for some. He will be sorely missed.
Surviving are his daughter Laura L. Mazur of Kent, sons Alan E. Mazur of Dublin and Glen J. Mazur of Dromedary, Tasmania; and grandchildren Griffin A. Mazur, Emily M. Mazur, Ryan E. Mazur and Brandon Mazur.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Janary 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 48 Church Street, Bellville, OH 44813. The family will receive family and friends at the church the hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
