Edmund C. “Ned” Paca

Edmund C. “Ned” Paca of Delaware passed away early Friday morning, October 8, 2021 at Willow Brook Christian Village, surrounded by his children. He was 92.
He was born on July 22, 1929, in Canton, Ohio, the second surviving child of Harriet Paca and John Philemon Paca. He graduated from Lehman High School in Canton, 1947 and attended Denison University 1947-1949 and Miami University (of Ohio) 1949-1951, graduating from the latter with a B.S. degree in industrial management. He married V. Maxine Powell of Canton, who also graduated from Miami. He obtained a Bachelor of Foreign Trade degree from Thunderbird School of International Management in Phoenix 1952.
Ned had a long career in sales and marketing in the paper industry and had many outside interests such as travel (U.S., Canada, parts of Europe and Asia), photography, designing and building houses, and writing histories of the Paca family.
He retired in 1992 and spent his retirement continuing to write, taking art classes, and painting. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Delaware, OH.
He is survived by daughter Marcia Johnston of Plain City, son John Paca of Duluth, Georgia, and grandchildren: Paul Johnston of Dublin, Sarah Johnston Davlin of Dublin, David Johnston of Sunbury, and Miles Paca of Atlanta.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years Maxine, and sister Beth Hilkert.
Graveside services will be announced by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center in Delaware.
