Edith M. Worthington, 86, of Catalpa Lane, Mt. Gilead, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001 in Woodside Village Care Center.
She was born in Cardington, Ohio on October 18, 1914, the daughter of the late Virgil S. & Bessie B. Mohn Ocker. She graduated from Cardington High School in 1932. She has resided here since 1966 moving here from Cardington. She worked for North Electric in Mt. Gilead and Galion and Subil Plastics until retiring in 1976.
A stepdaughter and son-in-law Janice & David Pierce of Marion, OH; 2 grandchildren; a niece Pam Frenz of Columbus, OH, 2 nephews Thomas and Terrence White both of Hilliard, OH; special friends Frances Turner of Mt. Gilead, OH and Kim Hardy of Lima, OH; her neighbors and friends survive her.
Her husband Paul F. Worthington, whom she married Feb. 10, 1940, preceded her in death on May 12, 1987. Her sister Mary White also preceded her in death.
Pastor Phil Hurlbert will conduct graveside services in Rivercliff Cemetery Friday at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements were in care of Craven & Snyder Funeral Homes in Mt. Gilead. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Morrow County.
