Edgar “Humpy” Campbell

Edgar “Humpy” Campbell, age 81, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Knox Community Hospital.  He was born on September 12, 1939 in Clarksburg, West Virginia the son of Edgar and Victoria (Michaux) Campbell.  Mick proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from Jeld-Wen in Mount Vernon.

Mick was an avid fisherman, especially fly fishing.  He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry and volunteered many years for the Central Ohio Diabetes Association.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather that will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia (Finnell) Campbell; children, Traci (Alan) Cassell, Tiffiny (John) Miller and Robert Michael Campbell; grandchildren, Grant (Lindsey) Cassell, Carter (Shelby) Cassell, Thomas Harrell, Emily Harrell, and a great grandson Gavin Springston.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will observe a private service at a later date.  The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Edgar “Humpy” Campbell.

Memorial contributions in Mick’s name may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association or Special Olympics.
