Earl W. Young, 90, formerly of 9793 Township Road 20, Galion died Monday, April 25, 2005 at Galion Community Hospital.

Born March 30, 1915, he was the son of the late Herbert and Ethel Young. He was preceded in death on December 14, 1966 by his wife, Margarete Cashell Young.

He was a life long farmer and worked at the former Peabody-Galion for 37 years where he was a welder. He enjoyed raising horses and cattle and being outdoors.

He is survived by two daughters, Janice K. Gantzler of Las Cruces, N.M. and Joyce Phillips of Johnsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack W. and Schelly Young of Galion; 11 grandchildren;
11 great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Emery and Martha Young of Ashland and a sister, Mary Pollard of Hayesville.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher J. Stoney; three brothers, Ralph, Raymond and Sam and three sisters, Cora, Nellie and Ann.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Bryn Zion Cemetery, Mt. Gilead, with Pastor Joe Overholt officiating.
