Dulcie N. Jackson Harris, 95, formerly of 18 Delano Street, Mt. Vernon died Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mt. Vernon after a short illness.

Born October 21, 1910 in Swords Creek, VA, she was the daughter of the late Estel B. Miller and Effie E. Call Miller. She was preceded in death in July of 1982 by her husband, Ellis Harris. She was previously married to Fred G. Jackson whom she married in 1926 and he preceded her on September 19, 1952.

She attended the Ohio Eastern Star Home Chapel.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Mary Jackson, Sr. of Galion and Ozro and Barbara Jackson of Mt. Vernon; two daughters and a son-in-law, Dorothy Belcher of Mt. Vernon and Betty and Harold Lloyd of Canton; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Geffrey and Louise B. Miller of Princeton, W.Va.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mona Sykes of Richlands, Va., LoveLee Dye of West Point, Va., June and Bill Mullens of Raven, Va.; four sisters-in-law, Hazel Miller of Lebanon, Va., Hazel Miller of Swords Creek, Va. Edna Rasnake of Ill., Mary Sutherland of Milton, Fla.; several step children including Bill and Jean Harris of Mt. Vernon and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2006 at Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High Street, Mt. Vernon. Additional calling hours will be held from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Sunday May 7, 2006 at Honaker Funeral Home, Honaker, Va. where services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Phillip Cook officiating. Interment will be in Russell Memorial Gardens.
