Douglas K. See, 53, of Galion, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 at Galion Community Hospital after a short illness.
Born May 11, 1957 in Galion, Ohio, he was the son of John C. and Esther P. Gibson See of Galion. He married Jeni Burlingame See on June 26, 1993 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Northmor High School in 1976 and attended Christ United Methodist Church in Galion. He served from 1976 to 1979 in the United States Army as a Ranger. Doug was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and was also known as a great cook, who enjoyed cooking for others. His specialty was potato soup. He worked in tool and die for 25 years at Ontario General Motors Plant until being transferred to the Parma, Ohio plant.
He is also survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Nicholas See of Galion, Matthew See of Cincinnati and Andrew and Ashley See of Galion; two daughters, Danielle See and Jamie See both at home; three grandchildren, Reagan, Alexis and Madisyn See and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rob and Sylvia See of Bucyrus and Brian and Siobbaine See of Greenfield.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Trigg officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at Campbell Cemetery, 1829 Parcher Road, Bucyrus, Ohio 44820.
