Doug had a true passion for baseball and sharing his knowledge with others. He enjoyed coaching his son in baseball at Johnsville and later serving as an umpire. When Doug wasn’t on the field, he could be found in the stands cheering on his kids and later his grandchildren as he loved to watch them in all their activities. Taking great pride in his yard, Doug enjoyed mowing and liked it so much he would often mow for others as well. A guilty pleasure of Doug’s was sneaking to Roosters Restaurant every week for a meal often with one of his best friends.
