Dorothy Althea Wagner, 81, formerly of 9327 County Road 38, Galion died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Altercare of Bucyrus. She has battled Alzheimer’s disease for many years.
Born February 16, 1923 in Crawford County, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Bollinger and Mildred Inez Zeiters Bollinger. She married Wayne A. Wagner, February 14, 1941; he preceded her in death December 5, 1991
She is a member of Blooming Grove United Methodist Church. She was a good cook and enjoyed being a homemaker. She worked at the former ITT and retired from the former Galion Dresser where she worked in the parts department.
She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Charlotte and Mert Sipes, of Galion, Marjorie Wagner, of Marion and Nancy Fisher, of Wooster; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell and Brenda Wagner, of Beaufort, S. C., Loren and Carole Wagner, of Fredericktown and Lyle and Shelly Wagner, of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, Geoffrey Wagner, Sarah Wagner, Wayne Wagner, Rebecca Wagner, Miriam Wagner, Dulcey Wagner, Brian Layton, Tina Kronenberger and Tim Kronenberger; four great grandchildren, Jessica Layton, Marissa Flewellen, Termaine Wilson and Travis Layton and a step sister, Gloria Weinandy, of Bucyrus.
She was preceded in death by mother, her father and her mother whom raised her, Florence Bollinger.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2004 with Pastor Dan Richter, officiating. Interment will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery.
