Dorothy Grumbling Kelly, 88, formerly of Muncie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Willow Brook Christian Communities in Delaware, Ohio.

Dorothy was born on June 21, 1929 to Jay Smith and Dorothy Sandles Grumbling in Indiana County, PA, where she was raised and married her High School sweetheart, Richard L. Kelly. They were happily married for 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Jay Grumbling of Lee, NH.

Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Korinne (Kevin) Marti of Manitou Beach, MI, Leanne Kelly of Culpeper, VA, Dorice (Michael) Agee of Westerville, OH; grandchildren Kyle (Kendra) Marti, Marissa Marti, Brien Marti, Lauren (Blair) Suter, Haley (Ryan) Turner and Adrienne Agee; three great grandchildren Keegan, Blake, and Jack Marti; sister Joanne Torrance of Blairsville, PA; a host of nieces and nephews and special family friend, Ann Baugher.

She worked for the College Center of the Finger Lakes in Corning, NY. Upon moving to Muncie, IN, she worked for John Hartmeyer Credit before obtaining a BS in Accounting at Ball State University in 1977. She worked for Westminster Village as CFO until she retired, then worked part time for the American Red Cross.

Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bridge, and attending Ball State sporting events. She was a member of the Eastern Star, PEO, DAR and Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church.

A private inurnment will be held for the family followed by a celebration of life on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 1: 00pm at Elm Ridge Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave, Muncie, Indiana 47304.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Willow Brook Christian Communities in Delaware, Ohio, who were a very important part of her life.
