Dorothy Jones, 92, of Galion passed away Friday morning, January 2, 2015 at Mill Creek Nursing Center, Galion.

Born October 5, 1922, in Galion, she was the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Gelvin) Sheidler. She married Kenneth E. Jones on June 25, 1939 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1998.

Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Scarbrough Post 243, Galion Auxiliary and the V.F. W. 4329 Galion Auxiliary and enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her children, Delbert Jones of Galion, Darlene Guraleczka of North Carolina and Phyllis Pinyerd of Galion; grandchildren, Kirk and Kathy Pinyerd of Galion, Mark and Vickie Pinyerd of Centerburg, Joseph and Connie Guraleczka of North Carolina and William and Trisch Guraleczka of North Carolina; eight great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Eileen Sheidler of Galion.

In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter and a brother.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015, with Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Galion.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home.
