Dorothy L. Frady Easterday, age 87, died Saturday February 28, 2004 at the Autumn Health Care Center in Mount Vernon. She was born September 3, 1916 in Cosby, Missouri to William F. and Bertha F. (Bieri) Romang and had been a resident of Mount Vernon for over 50 years. Dorothy had been employed at the former Ann Lapp Millinery.

Dorothy was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Mount Vernon where she had taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Missionary Circle and the Harvest Years Club. She was well known for her religious programs and humorous monologs she performed at the church and for community groups.

Surviving are her daughter Judy (Deke) Moffitt of Erlanger, Kentucky; three sons Jerry (Becky) Frady of Bartlett, Illinois, Dwaine Frady and James (Ruth) Frady both of Mount Vernon. Stepdaughter Martha (Don) Tollison of Bellville and three stepsons Ronald (Sandy) Easterday of Dayton, Robert (Bonnie Lee) Easterday of Santa Maria, Calif. Kenneth (Barbara) Easterday of Chicago, Illinois; 8 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, and two brothers Kenneth Romang of Kansas City, Kansas and Orville Romang of Lawson, Missouri. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Marvin Frady and Everett Easterday.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home 619 East High Street, Mount Vernon where funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 PM with Rev. Robert Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Johns Cemetery near Mount Vernon.
