Dorothy C. Daugherty

Dorothy C. Daugherty, age 79, of Galena, passed on to her Lord on Friday, December 22, 2006.
She was born on February 22, 1927 to Joseph and Elsie Heck. A retired payroll supervisor for the Franklin County Welfare Department she was one of the founding members of St. John Neumann Catholic Church; a CCD teacher of children for 14 years; and a Eucharistic Minister.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald Daugherty Sr.; her daughter Donna Jean Wolcoski; her brothers Joseph and William Heck; and her sister Mildred Goodrich.
Dorothy is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Jo Ann (Ryder) Daugherty of Denver, Richard and Chong (Choe) Daugherty of Galena, and Donald Jr. and Virginia (Trumbull) Daugherty of Westerville; eight Grandchildren; Edward and Steven Wolcoski, Theresa Bell, Bryan, Misa, Shannon, Marie and Adam Daugherty; six Great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and A.J. Wolcoski, and Myranda, Dawson, Bethany, and Miles Bell; brother, James and Doris Heck of Canal Winchester; and by numerous nieces and nephews and their children, and other loving family and friends.
Her faithfulness to her family and friends was beyond measure and without reservation.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., prayer services 7:30 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church, 9633 SR 37 W, Sunbury, Fr David Sizemore Celebrant, internment Kingwood Memorial Park.
